US To Showcase Advanced Defense Technology At Aero India 2025

Preparations are in full swing for Aero India 2025, Asia’s premier aerospace and defense exhibition, set to take place from February 10-14 at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru. Among the highlights of this 15th edition is the participation of the United States, which will showcase cutting-edge military aircraft and defense technologies.

In a statement, the US Embassy emphasized its commitment to strengthening defense ties with India, noting that the event provides an opportunity to deepen cooperation in regional security, stability, and economic engagement. Over two dozen American exhibitors will engage with their Indian counterparts to explore new business opportunities and present advancements in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), fighter aircraft, advanced avionics, and defense electronics.

The US delegation will be led by Charge d’Affaires Jorgan Andrews of the US Embassy in Delhi, along with key officials from the Departments of State, Defense, and Commerce. Senior US leaders attending the event include:

  • General Kevin Schneider, Commander, US Pacific Air Forces
  • Brigadier General Patrick Teague, Senior Defense Official, US Mission India
  • Consul General Chris Hodges, US Consulate General, Chennai
  • US to Showcase Cutting-Edge Military Aircraft

Aero India 2025 will feature a spectacular lineup of American military aircraft, including:

  • F-35 Lightning II, the US Air Force’s advanced fifth-generation fighter jet
  • F-16 Fighting Falcon, one of the world’s most widely used fighter aircraft
  • KC-135 Stratotanker, a mid-air refueling aircraft enhancing air combat capabilities
  • B-1 Bomber, a strategic aircraft known for its speed and payload capacity

Speaking about the growing US-India defense cooperation, General Kevin Schneider stated, “Aero India 2025 is an ideal forum to showcase US defence aircraft and equipment and ultimately contribute toward our compatibility and interoperability with other nations.”

Beyond military exhibitions, the US Air Force Band of the Pacific’s 10-member ensemble, Final Approach, will perform at multiple venues:

  • February 13-14 at Aero India 2025
  • February 11 at 5:00 PM at Christ University auditorium, Bengaluru
