On the 16th anniversary of the horrific 26/11 terror attacks, tributes were paid across Mumbai to honor the memory of the victims and the bravery of those who stood against terror.

The US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, Eric Garcetti, visited the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel on Tuesday, one of the sites targeted during the 26/11 attacks, to pay his respects to the victims. Garcetti reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to combating terrorism alongside India.
In a message shared on social media platform X, he stated, “Today marks the 16th anniversary of the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. We honor the memory of the victims lost and pledge to continue the fight against acts of terror together with the Government of India.”

Earlier in the day, Kobbi Shoshani, Israel’s Consul General for Midwest India, paid homage to the victims and martyrs at Nariman House, another target of the attacks.
At the Martyrs’ Memorial in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and the state’s Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, offered floral tributes to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives during the 60-hour siege.
