Jaipur, 14th Sept. “To stand out in the crowd, a teacher must uniquely be skilled to face the fierce competition where only the fittest survive,” believes Propounder Needonomics School of Thought Dr Madan Mohan Goel, a three-time Vice-Chancellor including Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD Sriperumbudur), an Institution of National importance and superannuated Professor of Economics Kurukshetra University.
He was addressing the participants of the NEP Orientation & Sensitization Program (online mode) organized by UGC- Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
His topic was ‘Excellence Models for Teachers in a Changing Economic Scenario’. Dr. Chandrani Sen Deputy Director MMTTC delivered the welcome address. Dr Neha Arora coordinator presented a citation on the achievements of Prof. M.M. Goel.
There is a strong case for strengthening the true educational value, which goes beyond merely making a person capable of earning a livelihood (from unpad to Ann pad) as the economics of education, instead of enhancing its worth, has diminished its real value, observed Professor Goel, a fourth-generation teacher from a family dedicated to education.
To reestablish teaching as a profession, rather than just a vocation, we need honest, humane, and hardworking teachers to impart real education as proper, productive, and practical (3P) use of hands, heads, and hearts (3H),explained Prof. Goel.
We can achieve morality, opulence, victory, and empowerment to actively contribute to socio-economic development with common sense approach of Needonomics,” said Prof. Goel.
To reclaim the true value of education for crafting the future, teachers must become street SMART—simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive, and transparent,” explained Prof. Goel.
