The Use Of Cannabis In Ancient India (Ayurveda)

Published:

As we all know, Vedic concepts are multi-layered. Their literal meaning is just the top soil.
What some helpful Learning system teaches us about Karman Drama Triangle in real life and about the importance of it to great leadership.
The Cosmos works for those who have discipline, who have longing, who have some goal to reach in their lives, and who make a constant, constant, constant effort to reach it.

Instead of being a victim, the Creator accepts the fact that s/he cannot do everything alone and that they may be vulnerable.

Instead of being a rescuer, the Coach is caring and ask how they may help the creator, thus empowering the creator to decide what they need and want.

Instead of being a persecutor, the Challenger is assertive about own needs, without blaming the creator.

Dharma is when you consciously put yourself together to work for others, for their happiness, for their benefit, for taking away their pain, giving them a life, serving them. Dharma is in every day, in every action, on every side of the day.

Every sequence has a consequence. When we start a sequence, the consequence will be there. If you do not want consequences, do not start the sequence. Have that control.

Life is like an inverted banyan tree! The knower of this tree is the knower of the Vedas.

Truth be told, I never really got it. What does the ‘inverted banyan tree’ mean?

Over years, I began to see light. This is what I understand today.

Again, truth be told, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t master the outer world. I could only manage it, sometimes. There is an ‘inner world’ that is infinitely bigger than the seemingly infinite outer world.

And of all the living creatures, Nature has endowed only human beings with the capability of ‘touching’ it consciously. But for man to touch this inner world, he has to ‘turn inwards’.

He /she has to take the ‘U-Turn’ from the conditioned state of ‘the real world is out there’ to the ‘real world is within’. This ‘point of U-Turn’ is called awakening.

We Indians have been dedicated to environmental conservation and promotion since ancient times. The tradition of nature worship and tree plantation is still alive in many festivals and celebrations in India. Greenery is the adornment and beauty of the earth.

The inverted Banyan tree is a metaphor that makes the exact same point! Life is not what happens ‘outside’. The real deal happens within. One who knows this begins an exciting journey of self-exploration, which begins with self-discovery and culminates in the discovery of the Self.

Such a person is called “Dwija” – twice born!
