Maihar, 29th Sept. Six people were killed and nearly 20 injured in a tragic collision between a bus and a truck in the Maihar district late Saturday night, police said. The accident occurred around 11 pm near the Nadan Dehat police station, approximately 25 kilometres from the district headquarters.
The bus, en route to Nagpur from Prayagraj, collided with a parked stone-laden dumper truck. Superintendent of Police, Sudhir Agrawal, confirmed that six of the injured are in critical condition and have been referred to a hospital in Satna, while the others are receiving treatment at medical facilities in Maihar and Amarpatan.
Rescue operations were launched immediately after senior officials arrived at the scene. Further details regarding the accident are awaited.
