Rishabh Pant is in Kolkata as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are all set to take on the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing IPL 2025 tomorrow at the Eden Gardens. But ahead of that crucial clash, he attended the Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) vs Jamshedpur FC (JFC) match in the second leg of the second semi-final of the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) season. He was seen attending the game with the MBSG and LSG owner, Sanjiv Goenka, and the pic went viral instantly.
LSG had their practice session around 3:30 PM at the Eden Gardens and after that, in the evening, Pant was seen attending the match. As an individual batter, it has been a poor IPL season so far for the most expensive player in the history of the IPL. Hence, tomorrow’s game will be another opportunity for him to announce his arrival this season.

However, he witnessed a thrilling game where Mohun Bagan registered a nail-biting 2-0 win over Jamshedpur. The Mariners began this game trailing 1-2 from the first leg at Jamshedpur. But after a goalless first half, in the second half, Jason Cummings scored a penalty and made it 1-0 in favour of the home team. In the 94th minute, Bagan’s midfielder Apuia scored a right-footed curler from outside the box and sealed a 2-0 win.
With this result, MBSG sealed their berth in the ISL final with an aggregate score of 3-2. In the final, they will face Bengaluru FC at the same venue on 12 April. Sanjiv Goenka’s Mohun Bagan delivered when it mattered most in Kolkata — but tomorrow, can LSG do the same by handing KKR a defeat on their home turf under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy?
