Rajasthani Flavors Arrive at Central Vista with New Food Shop

New Delhi, 20th Sept. The Central Vista, surrounded by the Parliament House, Prime Minister’s residence, and key government offices, will now be infused with the flavors of Rajasthan’s world-renowned cuisine. The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) inaugurated a Rajasthani food shop in a vibrant ceremony at the food court located near India Gate, opposite Children’s Park, featuring traditional music and dance performances.

Sushma Arora, Managing Director of RTDC, cut the ribbon to officially open the food shop. In her address, she emphasized the shop’s mission to introduce the authentic tastes of Rajasthan to the world. “This food court will effectively bring Rajasthan’s hospitality and culture to the people of Delhi,” she said, assuring attendees of high-quality food and service.

Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, Executive Director of RTDC, praised the initiative and committed to accelerating such efforts. He highlighted RTDC’s continuous innovations in social welfare, mentioning concepts like Midway and the luxurious Palace on Wheels train. “Through such initiatives, we aim to broaden the vision of the Rajasthan government: ‘Rising Rajasthan,’” he stated.

The Rajasthani food counter, located at Shop No. 8 south of India Gate, will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM, offering a variety of dishes such as Jodhpur Mirchi Bada, Onion Kachori, Kota Hing Dal Kachori, Jaipur Samosa, Rajwada Kofta, and more, all at reasonable prices.

Cultural performances were also held to celebrate the occasion, attended by officials and employees from Rajasthan’s government offices in Delhi, along with numerous visitors.
