New Delhi, 16th Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the National Security Guard (NSG) personnel on the occasion of NSG Raising Day, appreciating their dedication, courage, and commitment to national security.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the elite force, saying, “On the occasion of NSG Raising Day, India salutes all NSG personnel for their unwavering dedication, courage, and determination in safeguarding our nation. Their commitment to protecting our nation against threats is admirable. They embody valour and professionalism.”
The NSG, also known as the “Black Cats,” was established in 1984 with the primary aim of countering terrorism, ensuring internal security, and handling hostage rescue operations. The NSG Raising Day is celebrated annually to recognize the sacrifices and efforts of its personnel in keeping the country safe from various threats.
The Prime Minister’s message reflects the nation’s appreciation for the NSG’s critical role in upholding internal security and handling high-risk operations, making them one of India’s most respected security forces.
