The state revenue department has issued notices, accusing him of illegally occupying government land in Bidadi and Ketaganahalli in Ramanagaram district. Kumaraswamy has categorically denied the allegations, asserting that he legally purchased the land 40 years ago and that previous investigations into the matter had found no wrongdoing. Shivakumar went on to question why Kumaraswamy was “afraid of scrutiny”, challenging him to produce legal documents proving his ownership.
