New Delhi, 3rd Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday began the auspicious occasion of Navratri by offering prayers to Goddess Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga, on the festival’s first day.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “On the first day of Navratri, I offer my heartfelt prayers to Goddess Shailputri! May her blessings bring welfare to all. This tribute to the goddess is for you all…”
Navratri, a nine-night festival dedicated to the worship of the divine feminine, holds great significance across India. Each day of the festival is dedicated to a different form of Goddess Durga, celebrating her strength and grace.
