Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant diplomatic tour, beginning with a visit to Nigeria from November 16-17, 2024, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 17 years.
During his time in Nigeria, the Prime Minister will engage in talks to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations and explore new avenues to enhance bilateral ties. He will also address members of the Indian community in Nigeria, reinforcing India’s cultural and economic connections in the region.
Following his Nigeria visit, the Prime Minister will travel to Rio De Janeiro on November 18-19 to participate in the G20 Summit. From there, PM Modi will proceed to Guyana for a State Visit from November 19-21, the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 1968.
While in Georgetown, he will attend the Second CARICOM-India Summit and hold discussions with leaders of CARICOM member nations, aiming to deepen India’s longstanding relationship with the Caribbean region.
