New Delhi, 18th Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ – National Learning Week on October 19 at approximately 10:30 AM at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. This initiative is part of the Mission Karmayogi, which was launched in September 2020 and aims to cultivate a future-ready civil service grounded in Indian values while embracing a global outlook.
The National Learning Week (NLW) is poised to be the largest event of its kind, designed to invigorate individual and organizational capacity development for civil servants. The initiative seeks to foster a renewed commitment to learning and development, promoting a unified “One Government” message, aligning civil servants with national objectives, and encouraging lifelong learning.
During NLW, each participant, referred to as a Karmayogi, is expected to commit to achieving a minimum of four hours of competency-linked learning. This can be accomplished through a blend of role-based modules on the iGOT platform and webinars featuring public lectures and policy masterclasses by esteemed speakers. The week will also feature talks from prominent figures in various fields, aimed at enhancing citizen-centric service delivery.
In addition, ministries and departments will conduct seminars and workshops to boost domain-specific competencies. The overarching goal of the initiative is to strengthen the capabilities of civil servants, enabling them to serve citizens more effectively.
