PM Modi to Launch ₹79,150 Crore Tribal Initiative in Jharkhand on Oct 2

Ranchi, 1st Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand on October 2, 2024, to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth over ₹83,300 crore in Hazaribag.

During his visit, the PM will launch the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, totaling ₹79,150 crore, aimed at enhancing the lives of over 5 crore tribal people across 63,000 villages in 30 states and UTs. The initiative focuses on closing critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihoods through 25 interventions by 17 ministries.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and lay the foundation for 25 more, totaling over ₹2,800 crore. He will also unveil multiple projects under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN), worth ₹1,360 crore, which includes over 1,380 km of roads, 120 Anganwadis, and various community facilities.

The visit emphasizes the government’s commitment to tribal development and education in the region.
