PM Modi to Inaugurate ₹11,200 Crore Projects in Maharashtra on 29 Sep

Mumbai, 28th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate various projects worth over ₹11,200 crore in Maharashtra on September 29. The key developments include inaugurating a Pune Metro section, launching the Bidkin Industrial Area, and opening Solapur Airport.

At 12:30 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail Project’s final section from District Court to Swargate, marking the completion of Phase-1. The underground section, spanning 1.72 km, has been developed at a cost of ₹1,810 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Swargate-Katraj Metro extension, a ₹2,955 crore project covering 5.46 km.

In a major boost to industrial development, PM Modi will dedicate the Bidkin Industrial Area, an 8,000-acre economic hub under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor project. The area is poised to transform the Marathwada region with an overall development cost exceeding ₹6,400 crore.

Additionally, the revamped Solapur Airport will be inaugurated to enhance connectivity, with the upgraded terminal capable of serving 4.1 lakh passengers annually.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a memorial dedicated to Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule’s First Girls’ School at Bhidewada, honoring the pioneering educator’s contribution to women’s education.
