New Delhi, 14th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving the welfare of farmers, emphasizing efforts to boost their income and create rural job opportunities.

In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi highlighted recent government decisions, including the reduction of export duties on onions and the increase of import duties on edible oils. These measures, he said, are designed to significantly benefit farmers by enhancing their income and generating employment in rural areas.

Sharing his thoughts in Hindi, the Prime Minister wrote, “We are leaving no stone unturned for the welfare of our farmer brothers and sisters, who work tirelessly for the country’s food security. Decisions such as reducing the export duty on onions and increasing the import duty on edible oils will greatly benefit our food producers. These steps will not only boost their income but also create more employment opportunities in rural areas.”
