Wilmington, 22nd Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US President Joseph Biden on the sidelines of the Quad Summit in Delaware today, marking another milestone in India-US relations. In a special gesture, President Biden hosted the meeting at his home in Wilmington.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi expressed his deep appreciation for President Biden’s contributions in bolstering the India-US partnership, recalling their previous meetings, including Modi’s State visit to the US in June 2023 and Biden’s visit to India for the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in September 2023. Modi noted that these visits have injected “greater dynamism and depth” into bilateral relations.
The leaders emphasized the comprehensive global strategic partnership between India and the US, founded on shared democratic values, mutual interests, and robust people-to-people ties. They discussed further enhancing cooperation in key areas and shared views on global and regional issues, particularly in the Indo-Pacific.
The meeting highlighted the ongoing strength and resilience of the India-US relationship and its growing significance in shaping global endeavors.
