New York, 24th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on September 23, 2024, during the Summit of the Future in New York.
The two leaders reflected on Prime Minister Modi’s recent visit to Ukraine and expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of bilateral relations. Discussions centered on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and explored potential paths to achieving peace.
Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s consistent stance advocating for a peaceful resolution through diplomacy and dialogue, engaging all relevant stakeholders. He emphasized India’s willingness to provide support within its capacity to facilitate a lasting resolution to the conflict.
This marks the third meeting between the two leaders in just over three months, with both agreeing to remain in close contact.
