PM Modi Extends Greetings on Utkala Dibasa, Praises Odisha’s Rich Culture

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to the people of Odisha on the occasion of Utkala Dibasa, celebrating the formation of the state. He highlighted Odisha’s rich history, literature, and music, reaffirming the commitment of both the Centre and the state government to its development.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “Warm wishes on Utkala Dibasa! This day is a fitting tribute to Odisha’s glorious culture. India takes pride in Odisha’s history, literature, and music. Odisha’s people are hardworking and have excelled in diverse fields. Over the last year, the Centre and Odisha Governments have been working extensively to further the state’s progress.”

PM Modi also shared his greetings in Odia, emphasizing Odisha’s vibrant cultural heritage and the dedication of its people.

Utkala Dibasa, or Odisha Day, is observed annually on April 1 to commemorate the formation of the state as a separate province in 1936. The day is marked with celebrations, cultural programs, and tributes to Odisha’s illustrious past.
