- One-time Payment After One Year: After completing one year, interns will receive an additional lump sum payment of ₹6,000 from the government.
- Target Audience: The scheme aims to benefit approximately 1 crore youth over the next five years. In the first phase, 30 lakh young individuals will be selected in the first two years, followed by an additional 70 lakh in the subsequent three years.
- Internship Opportunities: Interns will have the chance to work with around 500 top companies across India. These companies will provide hands-on experience, enhancing the interns’ skill sets and employability.
- Eligibility Criteria: Any individual aged between 21 to 24 years with a minimum of a tenth-grade certificate can apply. However, individuals whose families have government employees, earn above ₹8 lakh annually, or are currently employed full-time are not eligible.

- Visit the Official Portal: Starting October 3rd, a dedicated portal for the PM Internship Scheme will be live. Candidates can access this portal to fill out their application forms.
