New Delhi, 30th Sept. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will co-chair the 6th India-USA Commercial Dialogue with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo in Washington D.C. from September 30 to October 3, 2024. The dialogue aims to strengthen trade and investment ties between India and the USA.
On October 2, Goyal will co-chair the India-USA CEO Forum, focusing on sustainable economic growth, improving business climate, and enhancing bilateral business collaboration. He will engage with top American and Indian CEOs and participate in a roundtable hosted by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. The discussions will focus on leveraging synergies between the two economies and exploring investment opportunities in India.
Additionally, Goyal will chair a Young Business Leaders Roundtable and the India-USA Gems & Jewellery Trade Roundtable, promoting sectors of mutual interest.
Another critical agenda item is expanding and diversifying the Critical Minerals Supply Chains. Both sides are negotiating a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in this field and leverage complementary strengths.
Goyal will also meet USTR Ambassador Katherine Tai to review the progress under the Trade Policy Forum and discuss ways to increase two-way trade between the nations.
The visit will promote strategic partnerships in areas such as Supply Chain Resilience, Climate and Clean Technology, Inclusive Digital Growth, and Travel & Tourism, adding further momentum to the strong India-USA trade and investment relationship.
