Paris has retained its title as the world’s most attractive city for the fourth year in a row, according to the latest report from Euromonitor International.

The rankings are based on 55 factors across six key areas: economic and business performance, tourism performance, tourism infrastructure, policy and attractiveness, health and safety, and sustainability.
Delhi ranked 74th, making it one of the highest-rated cities from India.
The 2024 report places Madrid in second, Tokyo in third, Rome in fourth, and Milan in fifth. The top 10 also includes New York (6th), Amsterdam (7th), Sydney (8th), Singapore (9th), and Barcelona (10th).
In terms of international arrivals, Bangkok leads with 32 million visitors in 2024, followed by Istanbul (23 million), London (21.7 million), Hong Kong (20.5 million), and Mecca (19.3 million).
Euromonitor credits Paris’s success to its robust tourism offerings, which are further bolstered by hosting major events like the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Europe remains the top region for international tourism, attracting 793 million international trips this year.
Cairo ranked 100th in the report, while Zhuhai and Jerusalem were placed 99th and 98th, respectively.
The report also highlighted a significant global increase in international arrivals, up by 19% in 2024, driven by strong tourism demand after the pandemic. Bangkok topped the list of most-visited cities, with 32 million international arrivals in 2024.
According to Euromonitor International, “The city exceeded pre-pandemic international tourism levels in 2023 and experienced continued robust growth of over 30% in 2024.”
The remaining cities in the top five for international arrivals include Istanbul (second, with 23 million arrivals, a 14% increase), London (third, with 21.7 million, a 7% increase), Hong Kong (fourth, with 20.5 million, a 19% increase), and Mecca (fifth, with 19.3 million, a 20% increase).
Rounding out the top 10 are Antalya (sixth), Dubai (seventh), Macau (eighth), Paris (ninth) and Kuala Lumpur (10th).
