Bhubaneswar, 13th Sept. Odisha Police have intensified security measures for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the state on September 17. The review was conducted by DGP YB Khurania, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda, and DCP Prateek Singh at Janata Maidan, the venue for the Prime Minister’s event.

PM Modi is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport around 11:35 am and proceed to Janata Maidan to launch the ‘Subhadra Yojana,’ a new initiative aimed at women empowerment. During his visit, Modi will also lay the foundation stone for several development projects. He is expected to leave the state capital around 1:25 pm.

Security arrangements include road barricades from the airport to Janata Maidan, regular checks by bomb disposal squads, and a temporary police control room at the venue. Traffic management and route lining are also part of the preparations.

Odisha BJP leaders are working to ensure a significant turnout of women at the event. The ‘Subhadra Yojana’ has been approved by the state cabinet and will provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per annum for five years to women aged 21 to 60. The funds will be transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, with payments made annually on Rakhi Purnima and International Women’s Day. The scheme will benefit over one crore women in the state.
