Noida, 24th Sept. The Noida Traffic Police have issued an advisory for six days in light of the upcoming UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2024. The event will take place from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar set to inaugurate the five-day show.
Traffic Restrictions in Effect
In anticipation of the trade show, traffic restrictions will be enforced starting today, September 24, and will remain in place until the conclusion of the event. Commuters in the Noida region are advised to heed the traffic advisory and avoid roads that are subject to closures and restrictions.
From 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, heavy goods vehicles will be banned from the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and adjacent roads. However, vehicles transporting essential commodities, including milk, vegetables, fruits, and medical supplies, will be permitted to operate. No-entry signs will be strategically placed to assist with traffic guidance.
Alternative Routes
To ensure smooth traffic flow, the following alternative routes have been designated for commuters:
Chilla Border: Vehicles entering from the Chilla border will be diverted at Chilla Red Light, allowing them to take a U-turn and access NH-9, NH-24, NH-91, and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
DND Border: Vehicles entering from the DND border will take a U-turn at the DND Toll Plaza and utilize NH-9, NH-24, NH-94, and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Kalindi Border: Traffic from the Kalindi border will be directed to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and NH-91.
Jewar Toll: Traffic heading to Delhi from the Jewar toll on the Yamuna Expressway will be redirected to Aligarh via a U-turn before the toll.
Honda CL Chowk: Vehicles from Honda CL Chowk en route to Delhi via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be redirected to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway through the Sirsa Roundabout.
Surajpur Ghanta Chowk and Pari Chowk: Vehicles from these locations will be diverted via Tilpata and Sirsa roundabouts toward the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Commuters are asked to plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during the trade show period.
