New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon landed in New Delhi on Sunday, marking his first official visit to India. Luxon’s visit is set to strengthen bilateral ties and includes key meetings with Indian leaders.

Luxon is set to be the chief guest and keynote speaker at the Raisina Dialogue 2025, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from March 17 to 19. The conference serves as India’s flagship platform for discussions on geopolitics and global economic trends.
During his visit, Luxon will engage in a series of diplomatic meetings, starting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday. On Monday, he will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, followed by a crucial bilateral discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House.

The two leaders are expected to explore avenues for collaboration in trade, defense, climate change, and regional security. Their discussions will also include the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Luxon will meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, continuing his engagement with top Indian leadership. His itinerary also includes a meeting with Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday, focusing on healthcare partnerships. On Wednesday, Luxon will travel to Mumbai, where he is expected to interact with business leaders and explore economic opportunities before departing India on March 20.
