New Delhi, 14th Sept. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the two-day 7th National Security Strategies Conference – 2024 in New Delhi on Saturday.
Prior to the inauguration, Shri Shah laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Column, honoring the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The conference marks the launch of the DGsP/IGsP Conference Recommendations’ Dashboard by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), aimed at implementing decisions from the annual DGsP/IGsP Conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Over the next two days, the conference will address emerging national security challenges, bringing together top police leadership from states, UTs, CAPFs, and CPOs.
The National Security Strategies Conference, conceived by Prime Minister Modi, aims to find solutions to major national security issues through discussions among senior police leaders, young officers, and domain experts. The 2024 edition is held in a hybrid format, featuring over 750 participants both in-person and virtually.
Attendees include Ministers of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai and Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Home Secretary Shri Govind Mohan, Additional/Deputy NSAs, and heads of CAPFs and CPOs, with DGsP of States and UTs and young police officers joining virtually.
