Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered a historic win at Wankhede Stadium as they defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) for the first time at this venue since 2015. On the other side, his brother Krunal Pandya, playing for RCB, had the last laugh as he held his nerve in the final over and took three wickets while conceding only six runs.

Then, when the chase of 222 looked out of reach for MI, Hardik stepped up and smashed a quickfire 42 at a strike rate of 280.00. In the 15th over, Hardik faced Krunal and hit him for two back-to-back sixes. Krunal had taken one wicket for 20 runs in his first two overs but then conceded 19 runs in that over.

However, he showed great composure in the final over of the innings by taking three wickets for just six runs, finishing with figures of four for 45 in four overs. An image also went viral showing the two brothers exchanging smiles after the final over — a heartwarming moment despite the fierce contest.
MI fans were left heartbroken once again with another defeat this season. Hardik now has 10 wickets in four games and has scored 81 runs in three innings. Despite his all-round performances, MI’s struggles have continued due to a lack of support from the rest of the squad. For Krunal, the season has been steady. He now has seven wickets in four games and has been a decent performer with the ball.
