New Delhi, 23rd Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India’s dedication to rhino protection, while acknowledging the efforts of conservationists on the occasion of World Rhino Day.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister expressed pride in India’s role in preserving the one-horned rhino population, particularly at Kaziranga National Park in Assam.
“Today, on World Rhino Day, let us reiterate our commitment to protect one of our planet’s most iconic species—rhinos. Compliments to all those involved in rhino conservation efforts over the last many years,” Modi wrote.
He also encouraged citizens to visit Kaziranga, noting the park’s significance as a sanctuary for rhinos in India.
