Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, launched the anthem for the upcoming Khelo India Para Games 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium complex. The second edition of the Games will take place from March 20-27 across three venues in New Delhi.

The event also featured the unveiling of the mascot, ‘Ujjwala,’ by Minister of State for Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse. Inspired by the house sparrow, a symbol of resilience, ‘Ujjwala’ represents the fighting spirit of both the city of Delhi and the para-athletes. The Games logo, designed by Devendra Jhajharia, President of the Paralympic Committee of India, and Sminu Jindal, founder of Svayam, reflects dynamism and inclusivity, featuring prominent Delhi landmarks.
Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the significance of the Games, highlighting the participation of over 1,300 athletes and the importance of sports in fostering resilience and growth. The event’s anthem, with its empowering lyrics “khelega khelega mera India, jeetega jeetega mera India,” aims to motivate both athletes and supporters.
The Games will include competitions in six para-sports disciplines—para-archery, para-athletics, para badminton, para powerlifting, para shooting, and para table tennis. Top para-athletes like gold medalist archer Harvinder Singh and high jumper Praveen Kumar will compete at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Stadium, and the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. The Khelo India Para Games 2025 is a key event in India’s national sporting calendar, following the Khelo India Winter Games held in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year.
