Bengaluru, 1st Oct. The Karnataka High Court has directed ANI Technologies, the parent company of OLA Cabs, to compensate a woman ₹5 lakh after she reported sexual harassment by one of their drivers during a trip in 2019.
Justice M G S Kamal, presiding over a single-judge bench, mandated that OLA’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) conduct a thorough inquiry in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act).
The court instructed that the inquiry be completed within 90 days, with a report to be submitted to the District Officer.
