East Singhbhum, 24th Sept. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured voters on Monday that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in Jharkhand, it will fill over 2.87 lakh vacant government posts in the state. Speaking at a public rally in Baharagora, East Singhbhum, as part of the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’, Chouhan criticized the Hemant Soren-led government for failing to deliver on job promises.
“There are over 2.87 lakh vacant posts in the government sector. I promise that if the BJP comes to power, our government will approve a proposal to fill all the vacant posts in the very first cabinet meeting,” Chouhan, who is also the BJP’s election in-charge for Jharkhand, stated.
He further alleged that the current government had committed to creating five lakh jobs annually but did not fulfill this pledge. “As the election is round the corner, the JMM-led government conducted physical tests of aspirants for a recruitment drive in which 15 youths died. This was not a mere incident but a case of murder,” he alleged.
Chouhan expressed concerns over the safety of Jharkhand’s residents, stating that “mati, beti and roti (soil, daughter, and bread) of Jharkhand are not safe” under the current regime. He accused the Hemant Soren government of allowing illegal immigrants to occupy land and promising to implement a National Register of Citizens (NRC) to identify and deport them if the BJP is elected.
Chouhan also alleged that the state government was involved in “sand looting” and promised that the BJP would ensure proper utilization of construction materials for housing development in Jharkhand.
With the assembly elections approaching, the BJP plans to conduct six ‘Parivartan’ processions to connect with voters and highlight the failures of the JMM-led government. These rallies will span 5,400 km across 81 assembly segments in 24 districts, concluding on October 2. Around 50 national and state-level BJP leaders, including several chief ministers, are expected to participate in these events.
