Intense Summer Begins Across India as Holi Festivities End; Heatwave Conditions Grip Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan

Published:

New Delhi: As the celebrations of Holi come to an end, the scorching summer has officially begun across India. Several regions in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan are already experiencing heat wave-like conditions, with temperatures soaring past 40°C in multiple cities.

This marks the second time in just three years that a heatwave has struck in the first half of March, signaling an early onset of extreme summer conditions. Meteorological experts warn that rising temperatures could lead to severe heat stress, urging people to take necessary precautions.

With the mercury continuing to rise, authorities have advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and take necessary measures to protect themselves from the sweltering heat. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) is closely monitoring the situation and may issue heatwave warnings in the coming days.
