Itanagar, 15th Oct. The Indian Army has inaugurated the Kameng Culture and Heritage Museum in Nyukmadung, located in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district, aimed at promoting cultural integration and national identity under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP).

According to Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, the Defence PRO based in Guwahati, the museum will serve as a cultural beacon of peace and community integration, reflecting Arunachal Pradesh’s profound connections to Indian civilization as mentioned in texts like the Kalika Purana and the Mahabharata.

It boasts a state-of-the-art movie hall that highlights Arunachal Pradesh’s cultural ties with India, along with a cafeteria and a children’s park for visitors.

The official inauguration will take place on October 23, with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan, and Lt Gen Gambhir Singh, the general officer commanding of the Gajraj Corps, in attendance.
