GG News Bureau
New Delhi, 2nd Oct. In its first reaction to the recent escalation of tensions in West Asia, India called for restraint from all sides on Wednesday, emphasizing that the conflict should not escalate into a broader regional crisis.

India’s statement followed Iran’s launch of around 200 missiles into Israel, a move described as a retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and other militant commanders by Israeli forces.

New Delhi expressed deep concern regarding the deteriorating security situation in West Asia, urging that all issues be resolved through “dialogue and diplomacy.”

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated, “We are deeply concerned at the escalation of the security situation in West Asia and reiterate our call for restraint by all concerned and protection of civilians.”

The MEA further mentioned the importance of preventing the conflict from spreading further, reiterating the need for peaceful resolution through constructive discussions.

“It is vital that the conflict doesn’t take a wider regional dimension and we encourage that all issues be addressed through dialogue and diplomacy,” the statement concluded.
