Hamas To Release Four Women Hostages In Next Prisoner Exchange With Israel

Published:

Hamas announced on Tuesday its intention to release four women hostages in the coming days as part of the next exchange with Israel under the long-awaited ceasefire in Gaza after over 15 months of conflict.

The ceasefire, which came into effect on Sunday, marks a significant step forward as Israel and Hamas conducted their first exchange of hostages for prisoners. During the 42-day initial phase of the truce, a total of 33 hostages are expected to be freed from Gaza in exchange for approximately 1,900 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.

Meanwhile, humanitarian aid has begun reaching Gaza, offering much-needed relief to its war-weary population. Many Palestinians displaced by the conflict have started to return to devastated neighborhoods.
