Sai Sudharsan continued his impressive run in IPL 2025, registering his third fifty of the season. The Gujarat Titans opener emphasized that he isn’t focused on chasing consistency but is instead responding to match situations and giving his best for the team.
Against Rajasthan Royals, Sudharsan began cautiously, managing just 11 runs from his first 11 deliveries. However, he shifted gears soon after, launching a six each off Fazalhaq Farooqi and Tushar Deshpande. Those big hits seemed to spark his innings to life, as he built momentum and reached his half-century by the tenth over. He was eventually dismissed in the second-last over of the innings, having crafted a fine 82-run knock that included three sixes and eight boundaries.

“The surface was swinging a bit at the start but the wicket was good to bat on. He (Jofra) started well but we consolidated after. We understood the wicket was really good so we wanted to push a bit more. The way we were going, we felt we could get 15 more but this is still a great score. I feel dew won’t come on today. As a team, we try to keep wickets in hand and go hard in the last five overs. I’m not trying to be consistent in any way, just reacting to the situation and doing the best out of it,” said Sudharsan during the mid-innings break.
Sudharsan clearly relishes batting at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The left-hander has amassed 822 runs in just 15 innings at the venue, boasting an impressive average of 58.71 and a strike rate of 156.27. His stellar record includes six half-centuries and a century on this ground.
With his consistent performances this season, Sudharsan has now climbed to second spot in the Orange Cap standings, having scored 273 runs at a remarkable average of 54.60.
