New Delhi, 7th Oct. Arvind Kejriwal, convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said on Monday that “God is with the Aam Aadmi Party” and reassured supporters that there is no need to fear as “no wrong has been done.”
This statement comes as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at multiple locations linked to AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora as part of a money laundering investigation.
During a press conference, Kejriwal accused the BJP-led Central government of targeting AAP through its investigative agencies under the guise of a corruption probe. He highlighted that several party leaders, including himself, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh, had previously been arrested in similar investigations.
“It’s not that some corruption investigation is on. It appears that the prime minister is after one party and has deployed all the resources and agencies to finish the party and its leaders,” Kejriwal asserted, flanked by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.
The ED’s searches on Monday took place across approximately 16-17 locations, including properties in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Gurugram, and Delhi, in connection with a land fraud case involving Arora and others. These included the residence of the 61-year-old MP in Ludhiana and other locations in Gurugram.
“God is with the party. There is no need to be scared… no wrong has been done,” Kejriwal said.
He further alleged that the truth about the prime minister is gradually being unveiled, as citizens begin to recognize the disparity between his words and actions.
