New Delhi, 6th Oct. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar honored Dr. Karan Singh for his remarkable 75 years in public service during a felicitation ceremony held in New Delhi on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Dhankhar highlighted Singh’s influential role as a statesman, politician, philosopher, and environmentalist.
The Vice President lauded Singh’s early contributions, from witnessing the signing of the Instrument of Accession at age 16 to becoming India’s youngest Union Cabinet Minister.
Dhankhar emphasized Dr. Singh’s commitment to promoting interfaith harmony, spirituality, and environmental conservation, particularly through his leadership in the “Project Tiger” initiative. He also underscored Singh’s enduring influence on India’s socio-political and cultural landscapes.
The Vice President concluded by appealing to intellectuals and leaders like Dr. Singh to guide the nation’s discourse on preserving democracy and countering anti-national narratives.
