
New Delhi- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, marking her first official meeting with the PM since taking office two days ago. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared a post on X, stating, “CM of Delhi, Smt. @gupta_rekha Ji, met Prime Minister @narendramodi.”
Focus on Infrastructure Development
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Gupta held a meeting with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) to address infrastructure concerns in the national capital. She reviewed key issues, including damaged roads, ongoing construction work, and traffic congestion.
The Delhi BJP’s official handle on X highlighted the meeting, stating that the CM had directed officials to take immediate steps to repair dug-up and deteriorating roads across the city.
PWD Minister Parvesh Verma also conducted an inspection of key road projects, including the Bhairon Marg to Sarai Kale Khan stretch on Ring Road. Verma emphasized the need for long-lasting road construction, directing officials to ensure roads remain durable beyond the standard five-year period.
AAP Raises Concerns Over Welfare Scheme
Meanwhile, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi wrote to CM Gupta, urging her to expedite the implementation of the ₹2,500 women’s welfare scheme. She also requested a meeting with the Chief Minister on February 23 to discuss the matter.
Gupta’s back-to-back meetings indicate the new administration’s focus on governance, infrastructure, and policy implementation in Delhi.
