New Delhi, 23rd Dec. The Indian National Congress (INC) has launched a nationwide protest campaign against Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his alleged derogatory remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The comments have sparked outrage among Congress leaders and supporters, who view them as an affront to the legacy of the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Protests have erupted across multiple states, including Rajasthan, Kerala, and Maharashtra, drawing large crowds of party workers and supporters. In Jaipur, senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot led a demonstration, underscoring the party’s commitment to protecting Ambedkar’s ideals.
The Congress has also planned over 150 press conferences nationwide to demand Shah’s resignation and to bring the issue to the forefront of public debate. Party spokespersons have criticized the remarks as an attempt to undermine Ambedkar’s contributions to social justice and equality, framing the protests as a broader defense of his legacy.
