Kurukshetra, 14th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, kicking off his campaign for the October 5 assembly elections in Haryana, claimed on Saturday that the state is set to bring the BJP to power for a third consecutive term.
Speaking at a rally, he warned voters to beware of the Congress’ “falsehoods,” calling the party anti-Dalit and anti-farmer.
Modi slammed Congress for spreading “lies and anarchy,” likening their current political tactics to urban Naxalism. He accused the Congress of planning to end reservations for Dalits and lambasted its failure to support farmers. “If there is any party that is anti-Dalit, anti-OBC, and anti-tribal, it is the Congress,” he said.
The prime minister also pointed to Congress’ performance in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, accusing the party of making false promises and destroying the prosperity of these states. He highlighted issues such as inflation, corruption, and farmer suicides under Congress rule.
Modi praised Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for his dedication and credited the BJP government for equitable development across the state. He mentioned the BJP’s achievements, including the approval of three crore pucca houses for the poor and significant progress in investment and revenue generation in Haryana.
