New Delhi, 1st Oct. Oil marketing companies announced a price hike for commercial LPG gas cylinders on Tuesday, effective from October 1, 2024. According to official sources, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹48.50, bringing the price in Delhi to ₹1,740 from the previous ₹1,691.50.

The price of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders has also seen an increase of ₹12. This adjustment is expected to impact commercial establishments such as restaurants, hotels, and other businesses that rely on these cylinders for their daily operations.

This is the second price hike in recent months. On September 1, 2024, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders was increased by ₹39, bringing the price to ₹1,691.50 in Delhi at that time.

Despite the rise in commercial LPG prices, domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged, offering some relief to households. However, businesses relying on LPG for cooking and other operations may face increased operating costs, potentially leading to higher prices for consumers in sectors affected by the price hike.

The revised prices are now in effect nationwide.
