New Delhi, 27th Sept. Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that its upcoming 5G network will offer faster, more secure internet services with high data density compared to its 4G counterpart. The new network is set to provide improved call quality and a better multimedia experience, along with enhanced coverage.
BSNL has commenced commercial testing and trials of its 5G services in collaboration with several technology companies, including domestic firms like Legrand Wireless, VVDN Technologies, Galore Networks, and Vysig. These partnerships have enabled BSNL to utilize 700 MHz spectrum for live testing of 5G technology.
The 5G trial network has been established in New Delhi’s Minto Road and Chanakyapuri areas, with additional trial runs planned across various locations in the country ahead of Diwali. According to BSNL, the 5G network will significantly surpass 4G in terms of data download and upload speeds, enhancing experiences for HD video streaming, gaming, and other data-intensive services.
BSNL aims to expand its 5G services to both urban and rural areas, striving to bridge the digital divide and ensure accessibility for all users.
