BJP Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Frequent Visits to Vietnam, Raises National Security Concerns

Published:

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised concerns over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s repeated visits to Vietnam, questioning why the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha is not disclosing details of his foreign trips. The party has termed this a matter of national security concern and has demanded accountability from the Congress leader.

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Rahul Gandhi for spending more time abroad rather than in his constituency, asking:

“Why does Rahul Gandhi frequently visit Vietnam? What is the purpose of these trips? As the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, he should be focusing on India’s politics rather than being preoccupied with foreign travel.”

The BJP has further accused Rahul Gandhi of neglecting his constituency and avoiding key political responsibilities in India. Prasad questioned:

“Why does Rahul Gandhi have such a strong fascination with Vietnam? He should be spending more time with his voters instead of making repeated foreign visits.”

This is not the first time the BJP has scrutinized Gandhi’s international travels. The party has previously criticized him for holding undisclosed meetings with diplomats and foreign figures, raising concerns about transparency and national security.

With the BJP escalating its attack, the Congress party is yet to respond to the allegations. However, the issue is likely to trigger a fresh political debate over the accountability of senior leaders regarding their foreign engagements.
