Anurag Garg Appointed New NCB Chief

New Delhi, 17th Sept. Anurag Garg, a 1993 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), according to a government order issued on Tuesday.

Garg, currently serving as Additional DG in the Border Security Force (BSF), will take over the NCB on deputation until May 2026 or further notice.

The appointment, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), fills the position previously held by S N Pradhan, with CRPF DG Anish Dayal Singh overseeing the NCB temporarily after Pradhan’s retirement in August.
