New Delhi, 24th Sept. The IIMC Alumni Association announced the winners of the prestigious ‘IMCA Awards 2024’ on Sunday, September 22. At a ceremony held in Delhi, Anoop Pandey was honored with the ‘Journalist of the Year’ award, receiving a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of ₹1.5 lakh.
Shagun Kapil won the award for agricultural journalism, along with a ₹1 lakh cash prize. Other winners in various categories were awarded trophies, certificates, and ₹50,000 in cash.

Several participants who narrowly missed winning were honored with the ‘Jury Special Mention Award,’ receiving certificates and trophies.
Nominees for the ‘Journalist of the Year’ Jury Special Award included Abhishek Angad, Ritwika Mitra, Ashutosh Mishra, Manish Mishra, and Nidhi Tiwari.
In Agricultural Journalism, Divash Gahtoraj was recognized, while Parimal Kumar and Vishnukant Tiwari were acknowledged for Broadcast Reporting, Rohan Kathpalia for Producer, and Supriya Sundriyal and Nikhil Swami in the PR category.
The event was graced by notable figures, including former PIB Director-General Kuldeep Singh Dhatwalia, ADG Raj Kumar, Delhi Government Special Commissioner Sushil Singh, MD of the US-India Business Council Rahul Sharma, and renowned journalists and media experts like Prof. Govind Singh, Neelesh Misra, Rupa Jha, and others. Many of these distinguished attendees were part of the award selection jury.
IMCA President Simrat Gulati presided over the ceremony, while Executive President Gayatri Srivastava conducted the proceedings. The event’s auditors, Unni Rajan Shankar, along with organizers Vineet Handa, Pooja Mishra, and General Secretary Deeksha Saxena, addressed the gathering. A commemorative souvenir was also released during the ceremony.
