Andhra CM Naidu to Meet PM Modi, Union Ministers in New Delhi

Amaravati, 7th Oct. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening in New Delhi, as per official sources. Naidu is scheduled to depart from Hyderabad at 1:30 PM. His visit includes a meeting with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw later in the day.

On Tuesday, Naidu is also expected to meet Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Nitin Gadkari. According to “Chaitanya Ratham,” the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) mouthpiece, Naidu plans to address several critical issues with the Prime Minister, including the establishment of a Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam, the merger of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd with SAIL Ltd, and the allocation of funds for the recent floods that have affected Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, he is likely to discuss the World Bank loan for the development of the state’s capital, Amaravati.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V. Anitha will participate in a review meeting in Delhi, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alongside Chief Ministers from other states affected by left-wing extremism.

Speaking to PTI, Anitha mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh government would seek ₹295 crore from the Centre for setting up the state’s own Greyhounds Training Centre, among other initiatives. The Greyhounds is a specialized anti-Maoist force, aimed at tackling the rising Maoist threat in Andhra Pradesh. Since the state’s bifurcation, the training facility has remained in Telangana.
