Mumbai, 3rd Oct. The Adani Group and Google have announced a key partnership aimed at enhancing the supply of clean energy across India. The collaboration will feature a new solar-wind hybrid energy project at the world’s largest renewable energy plant located in Khavda, Gujarat, with operations expected to commence after mid-2025.
In a joint release, both companies emphasized that this initiative will help achieve their collective sustainability goals and contribute to increasing the amount of clean energy in India’s power grid.
“With proven capabilities in delivering large-scale wind, solar, hybrid, and energy storage projects, Adani is well-positioned to provide customized renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers to meet their energy requirements and reduce their carbon footprint,” the release stated.
Furthermore, the Adani Group plans to focus on the commercial and merchant segments to facilitate the decarbonization of industries.
The partnership is also set to support Google’s “24/7 carbon-free energy goal,” ensuring that its cloud services and operations in India are powered by clean energy.
