In the early hours of Wednesday, amidst a downpour, thieves uprooted a sandalwood tree from a park near the Judicial Layout in Bengaluru. Social activist H M Venkatesh raised concerns about frequent thefts in the area, urging the police to boost night patrols to curb such incidents.
