Mumbai, 12th Oct. Fifteen Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP)-rank officers were transferred within the Mumbai police department on Friday, as part of a reorganization effort aimed at enhancing efficiency and operational effectiveness. The orders were issued by Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar.
Among the notable transfers, DCP Vijaykant Sagar has been appointed as DCP for Zone 7 in the eastern suburbs, while Vivek Pansare will serve as DCP for Enforcement within the Crime Branch. Pradeep Sawant has been designated as DCP for Traffic (East).
Other transfers include:
- Navnath Dhavale to DCP Zone 6
- Ragsudha R to DCP Zone 4
- Dattatray Kamble to DCP Zone 3
- Nitin Pawar to DCP Headquarters – 2
- Mangesh Shinde to DCP Special Task Force (EOW)
- Purushottam Karad to DCP Special Branch
- Mahesh Chimte to DCP Protection
- Krishnakant Upadhyay to DCP Headquarters – 1
- Sudhakar Pathare to DCP Port Zone
- Sachin Gunjal to DCP Zone 10
- Deepali Dhate to DCP Security
- Nimit Goyal to DCP Local Arms at Kalina
Notably, DCP Nimit Goyal, who was previously stationed in Nagpur, has resigned from service. An official indicated that the final decision regarding his resignation will be taken by the state government.
