Billionaire tech executive Elon Musk made his first public appearance at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. It’s the same site where Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in July, wounding his right ear.
Musk took to the stage and talked to the packed cheering crowd. He threw his custom-made “Make America Great Again” hat and declared, “Trump must win to preserve the Constitution and democracy in America.”
The Tesla CEO then changed his profile picture on X to show him sporting a MAGA hat.
The former president wrapped up his speech and invited Musk. The Space X CEO joked and said, “As you can see I am not just MAGA — I am Dark MAGA.”

During his speech, Musk slammed US President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party while praising Trump. Referring to Trump’s experience during the assassination attempt, Musk lauded the former US president, saying, “You know, the true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire.”
He added, “We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist-pumping after getting shot! Fight! Fight! Fight!.”
Musk’s comments were met with enthusiastic applause.
